Globalstor Data Corporation and ASSIMILATE, Inc, announced today that Globalstor’s new ExtremeStor-DI PRO has been certified for use with ASSIMILATE’s SCRATCH Data-Centric Workflow Solution. The new ExtremeStor-DI PRO paired with SCRATCH, provides digital content professionals in film post production with an open-architecture, modular feature sets, and image processing tools for a fully integrated, streamlined, end-to-end digital intermediate (DI) pipeline.
A significant and new advantage for film and post professionals is the ExtemeStor-DI PRO ships with a Bluefish444 HD|Lust 10-bit uncompressed capture card, which together with SCRATCH creates a platform in which 4:4:4 HD-RGB input can be converted into DPX or Cineon files for use at the front-end of the DI process. Users have the choice of using dual-link 4:4:4 HD-RGB, single-link 4:2:2 HD-SDI video, or 2k/4k files processed through a data scanner, or both as front-end input to DI. Using the same PRO/SCRATCH platform, the final output can also be to video, data, or both.
Integrating the latest NVIDIA PCI Express Professional Graphics card with optional HD/SDI Outputs, the standard version of the ExtremeStor-DI PRO features Dual Gigabit Ethernet, 4 GB DDR2 RAM and can be configured with either Windows XP Pro or Windows XP Pro 64- Bit operating systems. SCRATCH adds the core post features of this combined solution, which includes real-time, multi-resolution review/ playback, assemble/edit, conform, primary color correction, scratch audio, visual effects (significantly enhanced with over 150 optional third-party plug-ins), data management, and final mastering to film.
