At NAB 2002 this week, Globalstor Data Corporation, a leading provider of high-end mass storage solutions, will demonstrate their new ExtremeStor FC (Fibre Channel) at their booth, (#S6572). The company’s first SAN-ready and host-independent, enterprise data warehouse solution, ExtremeStor FC includes a Fibre Channel interface and scaleable access to data capacities ranging from 600GB to 1.44TB. Available as either a compact desktop or rack mount solution, ExtremeStor FC supports RAID 0, 1, 0 +1, 3, and 5 for unsurpassed data redundancy, security and availability.
ExtremeStor FC’s Fibre Channel interface combines the benefits of both channel and network technologies, resulting in a computer communications protocol designed to meet even today’s busiest broadcast environment’s never ending demand for high bandwidth (100MB/s and beyond). By incorporating Fibre Channel, the ExtremeStor FC enables a broad range of protocols to run over the same shared physical interface and media, simultaneously and across a span of several kilometers. The end result is enhanced data access and increased distance tolerance between networked devices.

The ExtremeStor FC is now shipping with a two-year factory warranty.
