The demonstration will feature content generated by ASSIMILATE’s SCRATCH® post-production DI software along with Globalstor’s ExtremeStor-EX10 PCIe expansion units, and will showcase real-time uncompressed 2K as well as Sony F65 color grading and playback. NAB attendees will be able to witness firsthand the extraordinary expansion capabilities of the ExtremeStor PCIe expansion line, complimented by the superb color-grading and DI capabilities of SCRATCH. ASSIMIMLATE will deploy the latest generation of Globalstor’s 10 drive ExtremeStor-EX PCIe expansion unit for data capture, processing and real-time playback of high-resolution video content.

The latest generation of Globalstor’s ExtremeStor-EX video storage and playback PCIe expansion systems offers native real-time playback of uncompressed 4K, stereoscopic 2K , R3D (RED), Sony F65 as well as other formats in a single high performance solution. Available both rack-mount and tower configurations, the ExtremeStor-EX features 3 PCIe x16 slots and up to two PCIe x8 slots (x16 form factor) allowing users to add additional GPU’s, RED Rocket Cards, Fusion IO Solid State PCIe drives or virtually any other PCIe card to any system with an available PCIe x16 slot.

The ExtremeStor-EX PCIe expansion solutions are available in configurations both with and without integrated RAID. ExtremeStor-EX with integrated RAID storage features capacities ranging from 3 to 18TB of integrated Solid State disk storage and up to 144TB of integrated Enterprise Class 7200RPM SATA disk drives delivering up to 4000MB/Sec of read and write performance with RAID 5.
