Combined, the solutions offer professional colorists and postproduction facilities a complete Digital Intermediate solution with 1000MB/sec. sustained performance.
A high-performance, fault-tolerant, hi-definition Digital Intermediate (DI) solution, Globalstor’s ExtremeStor-DI incorporates 24, 250GB hot-swappable SATA hard drives for up to 6TB of local storage or 24, 400GB hot-swappable SATA hard drives for up to 9.6TB. ExtremeStor-DI provides exceptional post-production capabilities to satisfy the stringent technical requirements of filmmakers and post houses at one of the industry’s lowest total cost of ownership (TCO), and to meet the budget requirements of independent filmmakers and boutique post-production facilities.
Built on IRIDAS’ new multi-platform architecture to support Mac, PC, and Linux, FrameCycler DDS 3.5 provides 2k and 4K playback for film-resolution digital dailies and client review sessions. Features include A/B channels, analysis tools, and support for 3D LUTs and SpeedGrade .look files for color graded playback.
SpeedGrade DI is a software-based color grading and film finishing application offering real-time playback at HD and 2K resolutions. With SpeedGrade, IRIDAS is introducing the first complete color pipeline connecting each part of the filmmaking process from production through postproduction and DI.

Bundled with Windows XP pro, this DI solution can alternatively be configured with either Windows 2003 or Linux. Featuring dual Intel Xeon processors with 2GB of RAM, ExtremeStor-DI writes at a sustained data rate in excess of 350 MB/Sec and plays back/reads in excess of 1000 MB/Sec. under RAID 5. The result is a powerful, integrated, streamlined DI workflow environment that enables increased productivity and even greater control at the final stages of film production.
