Globalstor® Data Corporation, a premier OEM integrator of high-performance RAID, SAN and storage/video servers, proudly announces that its ExtremeStor-4K video storage and playback workstation is driving a series of 4K demonstrations at HD Expo this week. The demonstrations, to be conducted simultaneously by Globalstor (Booth 410) and ASSIMILATE (Booth 713) at their respective show booths, will feature the ExtremeStor-4K running the SCRATCH® Digital Process Solution version 5.0, ASSIMILATE’s data workflow and post-production software, outputting to IGI’s PowerWindow | 4K display solution.
Thanks to the powerful processing and playback capabilities of Globalstor’s ExtremeStor-4K, HD Expo attendees will be able to experience a full 4K DI workflow in real-time, from conform, to color grading, playback, finishing, client reviews and output. This level of performance is made possible in part due to Globalstor’s use of new SSD drive technology, which can process extremely large, uncompressed file sizes in real time and requires fewer individual drives.

Globalstor’s ExtremeStor-4K, incorporating the NVIDIA® Quadro® Plex 2200 D2 supported by PNY Technologies, is the latest generation of the company’s acclaimed ExtremeStor-DI video storage workstation. It is the first system of its kind to offer native, uncompressed 4K, stereoscopic 2K and R3D (RED) real-time playback in a single system.
